Tying Grandma's Shoes

I never commented on this when you first posted it, but it seemed really sweet to me. At the same time I feel like there is a touch of something sad for some reason. Like they are Gradma's shoes because Mom and Dad aren't around or something. Care to offer a little more in the way of background information for this shot?

Yeah, I sense that sadness too in the picture and in the moment. And I did seem like grandma was the little girl's care-taker, but their was something incredibly magical about their relationship. The grandma let the little one run around and explore without a trace of worry. The grandmother took such joy in her GD's discovery of things that she has long known are full of wonder.
